Friday 21st March
As we near the end of another bustling week, we reflect on the many opportunities for parental engagement that have taken place. It has been a joy to welcome so many of you into school for a variety of special events.
From the insightful Parents’ Evenings for Lower School and Year 5 families, to the heartwarming Mothers’ Day assemblies for Nursery, Reception and Lower School, each gathering has been a wonderful celebration of our strong school community. Early Kindergarten and Kindergarten mums also enjoyed a special morning of play, and the ballet watching afternoon was a truly delightful experience.
The sense of togetherness and enthusiasm was perhaps best captured at the Upper School Swimming Gala, an always eagerly anticipated event. The competition was fierce, and we congratulate Woburn House for emerging victorious! A huge well done to all participants and to the staff who organised such a fantastic occasion.
Continuing with sporting achievements, we were incredibly proud of our Under 11 footballers who competed in the IAPS National Finals over the weekend. Remaining unbeaten throughout, they secured an impressive 11th place finish, earning the prestigious title of Hertfordshire’s number one ranked Prep School team. What an achievement! We now look forward to cheering them on as they enter the ISFA National Finals in May.
It is hard to believe that the end of the Spring Term is almost upon us. Next week remains busy and purposeful, with Year 4 Parents’ Evening on Wednesday, mid-week matches and Year 3’s exciting educational visit to the Natural History Museum in Tring, supporting their science studies. Additionally, congratulations to Woburn House for winning this term’s House Points competition! Pupils in this house are invited to come to school in their house colours of yellow on Tuesday, 25th March in celebration of their achievement.
A reminder that we break for the Easter Holidays on Thursday 27th March, with Treetops and Lower School finishing at 2:45pm, and Upper School finishing at 3:00pm.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend ahead. Mr Phelan
