A busy and purposeful week at Duncombe. The school has been buzzing with activity, and it’s wonderful to see the enthusiasm and engagement of our pupils across so many areas.

Voice of the Parent Survey

We have received excellent feedback from the Voice of the Parent Survey, and I wanted to share some highlights:

  • “A superb prep school that does exactly that: prepares the children for life beyond Duncombe both academically and on a personal level.”
  • “You get a feeling when you walk into Duncombe, and it’s just the same when you speak to a member of staff. I just love the culture, and my child has a great day – every day. They are so happy at Duncombe and I really feel that they are nurtured. I wouldn’t want them to be anywhere else.”

Thank you to all who have completed the survey. If you have not yet had the chance, please do take the time to share your thoughts. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us continually grow and improve.

STEM and Wellbeing Activities

STEM learning and Wellbeing have been at the forefront of activities this week. Our Lego learning initiative has been a collaborative experience for children across the school, taking them on an imaginative journey around the globe. It has been wonderful to see their creativity and teamwork in action – do look out for the full report soon.

Today, we welcomed Thomas Frank’s Nutritionist, who delivered engaging workshops in support of our Wellbeing Charter. The day culminated in a series of afternoon wellbeing activities, including the delightful addition of wearing slippers! This fun and meaningful approach to wellbeing has been enjoyed by all.

Sports Update

Our sports teams have been exceptionally busy, with matches coming thick and fast. This continues into next week, which will also see our Under 11 netball girls competing at the regional IAPS finals on Friday which will be hosted in Ipswich. We wish them the very best of luck!

3EG Assembly

We are looking forward to welcoming parents to 3EG’s assembly on Monday next week.

Open Morning

Next Friday, we are hosting our Open Morning for prospective parents. If you know of any families who might be interested in joining the Duncombe community, please do encourage them to come along. Word of mouth is our most effective form of marketing, and we are so grateful to the many families who recommend us to their friends and colleagues.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support. Wishing you a restful and wonderful weekend. Mr Phelan
